Accounts Payable Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce client located in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced AP Manager to join their quickly growing team. Summary: The position of Accounts Payable Manager reports to the Director of AP and is responsible for managing the company accounts payable process and function in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position directs and oversees the daily management of the accounts payable staff and processes associated with the payment of invoices, ensuring the accuracy of the entire process as it relates to vendors and the reconciliation of the related vendor accounts. This position ensures company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to accounts payable as well as process improvement in the processing of transactions. Responsibilities include:

  • Manages multiple staff members and 90+ locations at a high level
  • Deposits incoming checks to Operations account by company on a weekly or as-needed basis
  • Reconciles all credit card statements to checks cut by AP Staff and deposits checks in a timely manner to meet deposit/sweep deadlines
  • Manages AP including, vendor relationships and the AP disbursement group which handles all check disbursements and annual 1099 reporting
  • Reviews AP aging by company to make recommended selections for semi-monthly check runs and tracks funding from treasury for current check runs as well as residual funds for emergency payments
  • Provide audit support as requested, including accumulating invoice and disbursement support
  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements as it pertains to accounts payable and related accruals at year end
  • Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6-10 years Accounts Payable experience with a high transactional volume environment
  • 3 years in a team lead role or supervisory experience in Accounts Payable; Knowledge expertise or significant exposure to major ERP Application (i.e. Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Sage, etc.)
  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
  • Strong computer and business solutions software skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, clients, and upper management
  • Must have experience working for a large sized company
  • Healthcare related experience a big plus
