Position Overview:
The Operations Financial Analyst is a member of the Finance, Planning and Analysis team and reports directly to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. The position is an exempt, salaried position whose primary duties are to establish financial targets across an omni-channel retail organization and to monitor performance against sales and expense targets. Additionally, this position is responsible for providing both analysis and data-based recommendations to various teams in support of making strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities:
• Provide accurate financial analysis to Wholesale channel teams including insights on geography mix, promotional mix, and product margins by channels
• Lead forecast/budgeting exercise for Wholesale sales channel (quarterly and annually) and supporting expense department leaders
• Track sales channel progress against daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual targets, and coordinate with channel leaders' routine reviews and any necessary target adjustments
• Turn disparate data into timely decision-making information using succinct, relevant, and cohesive narratives supported with graphical interpretations
• Define and monitor channel-specific key performance indicators (KPI's) and benchmarks
• Review performance and impact of new shops, new products, and major events/promotions
• Create and distribute reporting tools and custom dashboards tailored to teams' needs that quickly convey business and result drivers
• Coordinate with accounting team reconciliation of sales and cost of goods reporting during month-end close process
• Act as a liaison between operations leaders, accounting and merchandise planning/allocation teams
• Support implementation of company-wide IT solutions as needed
• Provide support for ad-hoc projects and analysis as requested
• Champion reporting automation and improvements to drive timely and efficient analysis
• Teach/re-enforce financial concepts and tools across audiences of varying familiarity

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, statistics, economics, or accounting or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance/analytical role, retail or consumer good experience is a plus
• Extremely proficient in MS Excel, including the ability to build and to navigate efficiently across robust models and data sets
• Able to create, execute, and interpret results of basic financial concepts such as breakeven analysis, ROI calculations, and scenario analysis
• Experience with statistical modeling techniques including regression analysis, variable selection, and scenario analysis
• Possesses a passion and curiosity for seeking answers to the unknown
• Comfortably balances interest in detail of analysis with interest in big-picture thinking
• Independent, self-motivated and adaptable with a "whatever it takes" attitude
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with several cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (MS PowerPoint proficient)
• Able to effectively and efficiently multi-task; minimal supervision required
• Experience with any major planning and budgeting systems, business intelligence systems or ERP platforms would be a plus
