We’re looking for an organized, self-motivated Departmental Assistant to support the success of the Research Department.

What will you do?
As our Departmental Assistant, you will provide calendar and communication support to the Director of Research. You will also support the Research team in a variety of ways, including project and administrative support, event coordination, budgeting and scheduling. You will be heavily involved in the research process, helping to prepare surveys, conduct phone interviews and review secondary research. You’ll also help us to prepare our findings for presentation, whether in print, online or a live presentation. As our Departmental Assistant you will have a great opportunity to learn how to conduct research in a business setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the Director of Research by maintaining his calendar and correspondence and scheduling calls, meetings and appointments as needed.
Prepare materials for research presentations and meetings.
Assist the team in conducting research, including surveys, focus groups, online research and phone interviews.
Coordinate the team’s travel and activities at events and conferences.
Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and process bills and invoices.
Handle special projects and tasks, as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills:
Intellectually curious and anxious to learn about research
Effective communicator with strong writing and phone skills
Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), as well as Google Docs and Sheets
Consistent, detail oriented and accurate
Organized and systems oriented
Strong team player who loves to creatively solve problems in a collaborative environment
Able to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as support team members on an ongoing basis
Able to juggle multiple projects with different stakeholders without letting anything drop
Knowledge or prior experience with real estate is a major plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
