About KDM Engineering:

KDM is an electrical engineering organization based in the city of Chicago. Our firm focuses on the development of medium-to high-voltage utility designs.

We are currently looking to give a couple of sophomore to junior year students an opportunity to learn over the next months to help build future careers. This is a research based internship. Please see job description below.

Job Responsibilities:

• Must be available to provide assistance in multiple projects in house which are not limited to project controls and data entry
• Must be eager to learn distribution and the fundamentals that will allow you to carry this internship into a potential full-time position
• Maintain schedule and develop time management skills
• Remain engaged in all departments of work which will include but not be limited to: Smart Grid Radios, Reliability, Distribution System Modifications, Grid Reliability, Storm Hardening, and Distribution Automation
• Assist in fielding for in house current projects
• Assist in office duties
• Perform all other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Sophomore level or beyond in college
• Basic knowledge of cameras
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to accomplish assigned tasks accurately and by established deadlines
• Must be eager to learn distribution and the fundamentals that will allow you to carry this internship into a potential full-time position
