Sr. Systems/Economy Designer
Our world-class mobile game development team is in search of a Sr. Systems/Economy designer. The ideal candidate would be an experienced mobile game designer that will bring their expertise in designing and tuning free-to-play monetization systems from conception, to development, to live operations.

Day to day:
Design, implement, tune, and balance game systems, economies, and progression
Collaborate with the world’s best engineers, UX/UI artisans, QA, and Live Ops teams to create addictive, compelling play experiences that will delight users for years
Continually iterate, balance and tune features, gameplay and game economies based on feedback and metrics from the game team, user testing, and the broader player community
Create design docs, drawings, diagrams, flowcharts, and any other necessary documents to communicate design functionality and vision
Provide input on the game's vision and help champion that vision to other team members
Build free-to-play mobile games that the world loves to play
Work closely with combat designers to align character power with metagame progress
Collaborate with the design team in system design discussions and own various subsystems
This role is a junior to mid-level position. The candidate who excels in this position will find an integral role on the design team, helping with monetization strategies, game mechanics, live ops and future game creation.
Minimum 3 years of game design experience on commercially successful games.
MUST Have Experience:
Deep familiarity with strategy and builder genres on mobile, PC, console, and tabletop
Experience working in a team environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
A passion for strategy and builder games
Excellent organizational skills
Strong technical skills with solid grounding in math and probability
Superb balance, tuning, and polishing skills
Deep understanding of mobile strategy mechanics and economy systems
Up to date on the latest mobile gaming trends
A strong design to make the best games in the world
Familiarity with Unity
Proficiency with C# and/or Unity3D
- Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets
Experience writing database queries (SQL, Splunk) and analyzing the data output
Shipped titles on iOS and Android
- Experience supporting a live game on iOS and Android
Experience designing RPG or strategy game economy and progression systems
- Experience designing, crafting and base building systems for mobile devices
Deep knowledge of MMO or free-to-play gameplay and monetization systems
