The Role:

We are looking for a passionate, driven, and detail-oriented Localization Producer/Editor to to support development for an unannounced title in our Beijing studio. This individual will be the primary stakeholder in editing existing in-game text and creating new in-game text as needed. While overseeing text and maintaining high standards of quality, this role will also manage all of the related processes and communications. Candidates living either in or outside of China are equally encouraged to apply.

  • Support the Content/Production team under the direction of the Sr. Producer
  • Act as primary editor for all in-game text, which would include, but not be limited to, dialogue, tutorials, general tooltips, ui text, notifications, game team messages, etc.
  • Oversee process for translation and technical execution for all in-game text in all operating regions.
  • Work closely with game writer and creative teams to ensure deliverables, quality standards, appropriate tone, and IP standards are met.
  • Support Operations team for live messaging and localization needs.
  • Review all localized assets to ensure that they meet defined standards and communicate linguistic feedback and bug reports to external translation teams.
  • Work with all stakeholders to find and address all localization bugs.
  • Become "the voice" of our game.
  • Native English speaker; ability to speak Mandarin is a plus
  • Experience in editing text professionally, preferably in the game industry
  • A passion for games, especially RPGs
  • A hunger for knowledge and experience with a drive to launch the best product possible
  • A creative mindset with the ability to visualize product improvements from a player’s perspective
  • A basic understanding of game design concepts and principals is a plus
