Manager, Commercial Strategy and Planning (Canada)


JUUL Labs is seeking a Manager, Commercial Strategy and Planning. In this role, you will work with the Canada General Manager and senior leadership across the company to strengthen JUUL’s position in Canada. You will serve as a critical liaison between JUUL Headquarters and JUUL Canada and will involve adapting corporate strategies for the local market and leading cross-functional teams at Headquarters to deliver on local market priorities. Sample projects include new product launches, promotional calendar, among others.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience in a combination of management consulting and cross-functional corporate roles as defined below. In this role you’ll be wearing different hats, so you should be comfortable jumping in and out of projects both strategic and operational.

More specifically, the role will require you to:

  • Serve as the critical liaison between the Canada General Manager and JUUL Headquarters enabling delivery of cross-functional projects across geographies
  • Perform commercial business planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver solutions that drive profitable sales growth
  • Drive the Commercial Group's efforts supporting customer promotions, product launches, brand campaigns, new channel strategy / business development, and trade marketing and sales operations execution
  • Define implementation priorities, develop execution plans, and manage cross-functional pull-though. Manage external and internal customer relationships, influencing strategy and execution
  • Structure strategic plans and analyze business problems, including assessments of risks, benefits, and operational agility. Counsel executives on insights to ensure organizational alignment


  • Experience in a combination of management consulting and corporate roles
  • Experience in the CPG, tech, biotech, or medical device industries
  • Proven history of project leadership and positive results in a highly cross-functional, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Bonus: functional understanding spanning sales, product-brand, trade marketing, sales operations, supply chain, finance, and regulatory / legal

  • High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint


  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field from a top-tier institution preferred
