As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Investment Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Work with the architecture and business requirements leads to insure synchronize development of integrate and testable requirements and work closely with QE Leadership to identify project risks, resource constraints, or other critical items. Conduct end-to-end testing to ensure the design, performance, reliability, and robustness of our products meet the highest standards of JPMC
  • Lead the development of test strategies and execution of test plans and testing may include hardware, software, data, and/or reports in pre/post-deployment environments.
  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with applied experience
  • Experience in test design and execute within the Financial Services industry supporting multiple Line of business (Required)
  • Experience with hands on automation testing, developing and executing automated test scripts using Automated Testing Tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, REST API Test Automation Frameworks, UI Automation using POM Framework, exposure to building utilities for automation using Spring boot
  • Proven experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Hands on experience on coding with JAVA language (Core Java and Some advanced Java)
  • Proficient in coding in one or more languages
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to testing of Micro services based systems
  • Deep understanding of REST and SOAP APIs
  • Experienced in design and test of backend applications
  • Experienced in various test automation frameworks
  • Playwright UI Automation Experience
  • Exposure to building REST APIs for Automation Utlities
