Software Engineer III -Full stack Python, AWS, Glue , Database

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community - Wealth Management, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role involves implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines using AWS Glue (Pyspark and Python).
  • Architect and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
  • Integrate AI/ML models (using AWS SageMaker or custom solutions) into data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
  • Build and maintain data lakes and data warehouses (S3, Redshift, Athena).
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, validation, and governance across all pipelines.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Glue jobs and infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data and infrastructure deployments.
  • Document solutions, processes, and best practices.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in Python programming for data engineering.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Glue, PySpark, and related AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Athena).
  • Strong expertise in Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation.
  • Experience integrating and operationalizing AI/ML models in production data pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of data lake, data warehouse, and big data architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CI, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
