The Senior Director of Immunology Translational Science and Medicine (TSM), ImmunoDermatology, will create the clinical translational strategies for priority diseases within the ImmunoDermatology DAS. He/she will advise on the early development plans for the portfolio of assets in the Immunology TA being developed in Dermatology indications. These studies will include Phase 0, 1 and 2 clinical studies through Proof-of-Concept (POC) and bridging studies to late development. The Senior Director will participate in Business Development due diligence activities that involve Dermatology indications. He/she will also advise on innovative Pathway and Target strategies for Dermatology indications.

The Senior Director reports into the Vice President of Translational Science and Medicine, Immunology TA. TSM is a group within the Immunology Therapeutic Area consisting of a Translational Medicine and Translational Science (TS). TM has combined expertise in the clinical study of immunologic disease, immunologic pathways and in early clinical trial design and execution. TS has expertise in biomarker development, disease biology research and in the application of immunology and data science technologies to support drug development. Organizationally, TSM serves as a pivotal bridge between Discovery Research and the later phase Clinical Development group. TSM provides the necessary scientific and clinical expertise to advance an industry-leading pipeline of novel mechanism small molecules and biologic agents to address unmet need in immune-mediated diseases. This position will play a critical role in contributing both scientific and clinical development expertise to TSM projects and strategies.

Responsibilities are as follows:
• Develop the clinical translational strategies for prioritized Dermatology indications aligned to the ImmunoDermatology Disease Area Strategy (DAS) team.
• Be a core member of the Immunodermatology DAS, and the TSM Leadership Team
• Advise and collaborate with TSM scientists to design early clinical development plans for portfolio assets in Dermatology indications.
• Support Business Development activities that impact the ImmunoDermatology Disease Area Strategy Team.
• Review and interpret clinical trial data to enable timely internal decision-making.
• Identify and collaborate with external experts and scientific collaborators to support TA scientific objectives.

Qualifications
• MD with sub-specialty clinical training in Dermatology is required or MD/PhD with sub-specialty clinical training in Dermatology is preferred.
• Deep understanding of Immunobiology in Dermatologic diseases required; early phase clinical trial experience in Dermatology strongly preferred.
• Translational Immunology research experience with a record of peer reviewed publications and scientific presentations is required. A minimum of 6 years of industry experience or accomplished academic experience is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel ~ 10%, including trans-Atlantic travel is required.
