Sr. Software Developer
The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a software developer.
Develop innovative, cutting-edge software prototype solutions to tradecraft-driven problems for DoD and IC customers by blending latest research and industry best practices. In addition, lead small development teams that design, implement, test, document and maintain web applications to meet sponsor requirements.
- Lead agile development teams that design, implement, test, document, and maintain web applications to meet sponsor requirements. (90%)
- Explore promising new research and maintain/gain technical edge required for projects. Share approaches and methods. (10%)

PhD in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with DoD and /or IC customers. Experience with Java Maven, Tomcat / JBoss, PHP, Python. Experience with network security.
Special Working Conditions: Some limited travel to customer sites may be required.
