Cyber Technology Software Engineer Lead
The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a Cyber Technology Software Engineer Lead.

Duties (Listed in order of importance with the estimated amount of time spent at each task):
- Lead and mentor teams in creating novel solutions to challenging problems of national importance in cybersecurity (40%).
- Work independently with minimal supervision in the development of software solutions. (40%)
- Perform independent research, attend conferences, collaborate in working groups, and use various other means to develop and increase expertise in selected areas of interest relevant to the needs of establishing and maintaining tactical superiority in cyberspace. (15%)
- Present ideas and results to internal and external customers and sponsors. (5%)

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 5 years of professional software engineering including 3 years of technical engineering project leadership. Knowledge of existing exploits and the ability to analyze software for vulnerabilities. High level software application development in C/C . Ability to appreciate and account for trade-offs in concept, design, and implementation, to simultaneously maintain global and local views of a system. Ability to maintain a view of the interaction of the parts comprising the whole; anticipate and account for unexpected, unintended, indirect, reciprocal, and feedback interactions.
Good command of multiple high level languages, and experience in communications protocols and communications system software design and implementation. TS/SCI with polygraph.
