Combat Effectiveness Analyst
Introduction: The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a Combat Effectiveness Analyst.
Job Summary: Analyst to participate in detailed combat effectiveness studies in a multi-mission warfare environment.
- Participate in studies and analyses as an individual contributor in a small team setting (60%)
- Lead studies and analyses including study planning, tasking, and budgeting (30%)
- Develop and present formal briefing materials to technical experts, operational stakeholders, and sponsors (5%)
- Write technical reports (5%)

Required Qualifications: BS in Aerospace, Electrical or other Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field, with minimally 5 years of relevant defense related experience. Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications: MS in Aerospace, Electrical or other Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related field. 5 years of specific experience in the field of Engagement, Mission, or Campaign Level Analysis. Experience with Monte Carlo analysis, Design of Experiments techniques, or Operations Analysis. Knowledge of Air Defense Systems and their operations.
Special Working Conditions: Air and vehicle travel to U.S. Government and DOD contractor facilities.
Security: Top Secret Clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for an SSBI and access to classified information. Preference for current SSBI. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.
