THE ROLE

As an Engineering Summer Intern you will have the opportunity to interact with passionate people who are changing the way work gets done. The position is located in Portland, Oregon. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Core Product: Do you have a strong passion to develop large scalable Java web applications that will be used by millions of people?  This team is working on maintaining, enhancing and adding all the great features, functions, processes and tools that come together to make up Jive's award winning social business platform.
  • The first week will be getting acclimatized to Jive’s software development practices and will check in their first bug fix within that week.
  • From there forward, they will be given work that sonstantly pushes their comfort zone and gets them experience in different areas of the product and different technology stacks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently working towards a Computer Science/Software Engineering degree
  • Above average Java skills
  • Fundamental Linux administration experience
  • Relentless passion for working on great Web Applications/Services
  • Class Level: Junior or Senior
  • Position is located in Portland, Oregon
