Sr. Associate, Paid Search

Overview

The Sr. Associate, Paid Search role is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of paid search performance, campaign strategies and analysis, strategic development and executions of paid search campaigns, ensuring that all strategic recommendations and implementations are delivered to the client on time and are of the highest quality.  

 

This role’s responsibilities include strategic planning, identifying trends and recommending keyword strategies, creating ad copy that meets industry best practices and client brand protocols, selection of landing pages, strategic audience segmentation, and optimization of bids and budget allocation based on both performance and client budget.

This role requires experience in paid search, driving campaigns that meet clients’ KPIs and makes a measurable impact on their business. This position plays an integral role within the channel team and provides project expertise to clients, partners and other external audiences. 

Responsibilities

  • Plans and manages day-to-day delivery of  Paid Search/Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns , including but not limited to: strategy development, account setup, keywords selection and expansion, audience segmentations, negative keyword governance, website and category exclusions, ad creative (including writing and testing ad copy and ad extensions), landing page revisions with minimal to no supervision necessary
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, the ability to work autonomously while simultaneously collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Build trust and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors and partner agencies
  • Understands clients' brands, structure, industry, and business challenges
  • Acts as primary point of paid search contact for the clients and is responsive to all client requests and inquiries related to Paid Search strategy
  • Manage client facing day-to-day communication with client contact for all things Paid Search, including advising best practices, building joint presentations, and collaborating with client and larger iProspect team on strategic growth plans
  • Responsible for daily management of campaign budgets, on-site conversion actions and bid optimization, including operational success of accounts and ensuring deliverables are on time and on budget
  • Monitor Paid Search and larger digital marketing industry changes and translate those into actionable recommendations for clients and colleagues regarding Paid Search strategy
  • Must be able to audit and analyze data, synthesize all metrics, and formulate critical analysis and insights from data to make specific recommendations
  • Strong client and team leadership qualities, contributes to company’s thought leadership on  industry topics
  • Effectively prioritize efforts based on client goals and objectives  
  • Works collaboratively to translate strategic vision into tactical solutions and results
  • Understands and can articulate our vision and strategy to clients and staff

 

Qualifications

  • Well versed in client KPIs, specifically performance KPIs
  • In-depth understanding of Paid Search campaign management and optimization practices
  • Experience managing Google AdWords paid search campaigns.  Experience managing Bing Ads campaigns
  • Experience optimizing paid search to a performance goal, with an understanding of bidding algorithms, bid modifiers, ad copy creation and testing, and budget allocation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion, and deliver effective results
  • Proven ability to analyze paid search metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and explain how the metrics interact
  • Thorough attention to detail & ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, dynamic environment
  • Eager and willing to learn new technologies and tools
  • Aptitude in data analysis and strong Excel skills
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify trends and insights through data analysis

 

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in managing large scale, complex paid search campaigns in an agency setting
  • Google Certification (Fundamentals), Analytics and AdWords Certification
  • Experience on at least one of the following paid search bid management platforms:  DoubleClick Search, Kenshoo, Marin, Adobe Media Optimizer
  • Demonstrated decision making and independent judgment  with regard to client advisement
  • Understanding of integrated digital performance marketing i.e. such as Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Management and Display Marketing
  • Ability to work autonomously with high levels of integrity and self-motivation
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
