Lead, SEO


The SEO Lead will demonstrate the ability to execute client projects and deliverables of SEO disciplines across client verticals and service platforms. The SEO Lead is responsible for leading and managing the execution of SEO campaign performance and strategies to ensure on-time delivery and properly communicate initiatives to help achieve client goals. This position plays an integral role in leading the development and growth of the SEO channel team and providing project expertise to clients, partners and other external audiences.


External Relationship Management:

  • Build trust and maintain strong client relationships
  • Act as a point of contact for the clients and is responsive to all client requests and inquiries
  • Understand clients' brands, structure and industry
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations

Strategic Focus:

  • Work closely with Strategy, Data and Insights and Service Delivery team to execute clients' strategic plans and provide best in class marketing solutions
  • Understand client project goals and work collaboratively  to achieve results
  • Monitor industry changes and translate those into actionable recommendations
  • Understand and iPropsect vision and articulate strategy  to clients and staff


  • Provide guidance regarding specific tasks and inquiries from team members
  • Lead by example and act as a mentor and coach for the more junior team members

Financial Acumen:

  • Responsible for budget and forecasting
  • Leverage support from Data and Insights team to assist with forecasting when necessary


  • Responsible for operational success of accounts and ensuring deliverables are met on time and on budget
  • Effectively prioritize efforts based on client goals and objectives  
  • Audit, review and analyze reports, lead optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives and performance; assist Account Supervisor with client communications around SEO knowledge, and recommendations to develop and deliver a clear strategic vision to the client
  • Work collaboratively to translate strategic vision into tactical solutions and results
  • Responsible for ongoing optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives including but not limited to negative keyword strategies, website and category exclusions , ad creative, and landing page revisions based on performance history and the client's objectives
  • Consistently seek ways to improve current processes or introduce new approaches that will contribute to iProspect success Function as the SEO expert


  • Proven track-record of increasing traffic, improving brand and site visibility within major search engines for important keyword phrases, increasing site authority through trusted and natural link building, and surpassing client conversion goals
  • Proven advanced capability of SEO across the lifecycle of a website and SEO campaigns, from new sites to advanced and mature campaigns
  • Strong client and team leadership qualities, comfortable contributing to company’s thought leadership on SEO industry topics
  • Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles  and excellent project management skills
  • Ability to be an advanced technical/discipline leader, and manage client communication without  requiring Account Supervisor involvement
  • Draw critical analysis from data and make specific recommendations based on quantitative client data that consistency strive to increase ROI 



  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in managing large scale, complex SEO  campaigns
  • Proven experience with HTML/CSS, basic server functions, advanced website techniques (AJAX, Flash, HTML 5), website technologies such as platforms and CMSes.
  • Experience with and ability to speak to multiple client verticals, goals and goal KPIs,
  • Proficient with SEO reporting platforms such as Brightedge and Conductor, and analytics such as Omniture, Coremetrics and Google Analytics
  • Experience with keyword/data mining tools and competitve analysis
  • Technical understanding of digital performance marketing i.e. Bought, Owned and Earned products and services such as Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Management and Display Marketing
  • Strong organizational skills, detailed orientation and project management ability
  • Bachelor’s degree required
