Director, Paid Social


The Director provides strategic planning and direction for all Paid Social clients and is focused on growing revenue and capability on the Paid Social team.


  • Develop key client strategies and ensures that the team is aligned on strategy and process
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders at all relevant social media platform partners
  • Work collaboratively with the client services team to manage client relationships as related to paid social strategy, team and performance
  • Ensure best practice and innovation in all activities; ensure knowledge sharing across teams
  • Actively lead a large team, setting best practices, inspiring excellence & innovative solutions and serving as a point of escalation
  • Define new initiatives, grows client revenue and up sell capabilities
  • Liaise with other channels
  • Contribute to new business development when required
  • Exhibit leadership across teams and agency; Role model of the DAN Values



  • 7-10 years of experience in digital marketing, including historic success building, leading and growing accounts and teams in performance marketing, with an emphasis on  Paid Social
  • Demonstrated history of winning new business and growing accounts incrementally by presenting credible campaign opportunities to clients that drive their business goals
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage a social media discipline within an agency or business
  • A history of serving as a point of escalation within a channel team for clients, teammates and colleague
  • Must have experience successfully growing business incrementally, leading conversations with senior clients on blue-chip accounts
  • Must have experience collaborating effectively with internal and external partners, clients, peers, partner agencies and vendors to drive great work
  • Proven ability to think strategically, making credible recommendations to clients that drive measurable results;  identifies and pursues opportunities to grow business
