We are currently looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Professional Services team.

Overview:

  • You will have overall responsibility for definition and delivery of Life Insurance Underwriting systems as part of the New Business Insurance Process.
  • Responsibilities include managing the client relationship, overall solution design, and being the lead developer/architect for the user facing portions of the solution. Because we engage clients with a collaborative, iterative development model, the position is very hands-on, with 30% of your time devoted to development.
  • Work directly with the customer's business and IT stakeholders to understand their environment and objectives, provide best-practices leadership to design, document and deliver end-to-end solution, and become a trusted business partner
  • Customize the solution's screens. Our applications present a rich interactive experience and are developed entirely in JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Use iPipeline/Resonant's unique Guideline Manager to author "smart documents" that define the customer's underwriting guidelines.
  • Help design and develop any additional functions that may be needed, including web services or enhancements to iPipeline/Resonant's core products.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the customer's business and IT stakeholders to understand their environment and objectives, provide best-practices leadership to design, document and deliver end-to-end solution, and become a trusted business partner

  • Use Resonant's unique Guideline Manager to author "smart documents" that define the customer's guidelines.
  • Help design and develop any additional functions that may be needed, including web services or enhancements to Resonant's core products.

Primary qualifications:

  • Life Insurance Industry knowledge is highly desired, as you will be consulting/interacting with the Customer's Underwriters.
  • 5+ years' experience in design and development of commercial software, either as part of a product development team or a software vendor's professional services team.
  • Several years of quality experience with the design and hands-on development of Java web applications. Familiarity with JavaScript, JQuery, Angular / Ember type frameworks, Java, XML and web services required.
  • Experience with Cloud environments and workflow, business process management or application integration systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of rules engines and similar AI related technology would be a plus.
  • Great communication skills with experience in consulting, project management, professional services or other client facing capacity.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
