Warehouse Lead

Invitae is currently looking to add a talented, highly motivated, enthusiastic Warehouse Lead to our growing Supply Chain team.  This individual will be the primary point person on the receiving and shipping floor for the organization.   • Lead and Execute assigned operations functions, shipping and receiving responsibilities including accurate receipt of materials consisting of QC, accessioning, put away to designated warehouse locations and stocking of labs
  • Manage and evolve all processes to execute seamlessly while optimizing for scale
  • Manage daily cycle counts and reconciliation programs
  • Manage FIFO and Expired Product Lifecycle processes
  • Ownership of the stockroom operations; properly stocked, organized and all materials streamlined for easy put away and pick
  • Ensure that all shipments and receipts are properly handled and completed daily reporting any discrepancy, holds or shortages to buyers for reconciliation
  • Monitor stock levels of all lab items for daily/weekly fulfillment and ensure there are no shortages in any assigned lab
  • Manage all shipping/receiving via UPS, FedEx, USPS or DHL
  • Support the regulations/Audits required (FDA, CLIA, CAP) for the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in compliance with all warehouse and company policies
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by manager


  • 5+ year’s experience in receiving, stocking, and inventory experience
  • Ability to Lead and work collaboratively, cross-functionally with different parts of the organization both individually and as part of a team environment
  • Experience and knowledge of Shipping /Receiving/Cycle counting
  • Flexible and agile, and ability to solve problems, make decisions and be autonomous
  • Must be customer service oriented and have a passion for providing outstanding customer support
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Handle multiple projects/tasks at one time with strong attention to all details
  • Assertive and proactive with excellent follow through
  • Must be able to work a consistent, 8am-5pm weekday schedule per receiving/shipping main hours in our SF location


  • High school degree or equivalent
