We are looking for a highly technical Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our new Health Data Platform. This new platform will serve as the core foundation for our clinical and genetic data applications. Partnered with a strong technical team that includes industry interoperability leaders, you’ll own our platform product strategy and play a critical role in enabling the growth of Invitae’s Patient Network.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the product definition, prioritization, development and improvement of our FHIR-native clinical data platform
- Specify detailed requirements for the core platform, including defining and aligning the organization around the implementation of FHIR standards and APIs that will enable our application teams to effectively build applications that serve our patients and partners
- Foster an agile culture of rapid execution and refinement, effectively prioritizing the most impactful requirements/features and eliminating scope creep
What you bring:
- Typically a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience. Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
- Professional experience with and deep knowledge of healthcare data standards and protocols, including USCDI, FHIR, CCDA and HL7
- Successfully built and deployed FHIR-based data platforms/components and APIs, and understand best practices to ensure effective interoperability across internal and third-party applications
- Experience working with structured and unstructured health data, and in processing, refining & consolidating data from a variety of sources and formats (including HIEs, national health networks and providers)
- Strong communication and documentation skills. Proficient at documenting and sharing a strong point of view and working with multiple stakeholders to reach alignment.
- Demonstrated product and/or technical leadership, guiding cross-disciplinary teams to effective outcomes with high velocity
