Job Description

Primary Function of Position

This position plays a critical role in delivering best-in-class financial reporting and supporting a high-performing finance organization within a complex, multinational environment. It helps drive an efficient and accurate financial close process, while contributing to long-term initiatives that strengthen accounting operations and reporting scalability. The role collaborates closely with domestic and international accounting, FP&A, tax, and other cross-functional partners to enhance systems, streamline processes, and ensure reporting integrity. It provides broad exposure to the business and offers significant opportunities for professional growth and development within a dynamic global organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and support the drafting of routine SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, Proxy Statement, etc.).
  • Support the preparation of Form 8-K filings and other ad hoc regulatory submissions.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, and supplemental schedules.
  • Provide guidance and monitor compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate and communicate with accounting and finance teams and external service providers throughout the monthly close process.
  • Support internal and external audit requests and SOX testing in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for process improvement and operational automation within existing system infrastructure.
  • Document processes, controls, and financial reporting risks; update process documentation as needed.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and long-term initiatives that strengthen reporting scalability.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting at a public company.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations and financial statement preparation.
  • Knowledge of fundamental business processes such as quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week.

Required Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workiva

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
