We're looking for an experienced engineering leader who loves setting and delivering on bold vision and building and growing teams. This leader will instill a sense of urgency and accountability and will also have the ability to create and persuasively articulate a strategic vision for the web and mobile application development platform capabilities that are the substrate for all Intuit's products and services.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of software industry experience in the software product industry
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles leading large-scale platform and SaaS services
  • Proficient in front-end and mobile architecture & design that serve millions of users
  • Expertise in developing & designing client-side applications using the latest front end technologies using one or more of the following
    • React/Vue
    • Node.js
    • Swift/Kotlin
  • Experience in leveraging Amazon Web Services for building scalable client-side applications
    • CloudFront and other CDNs
    • Lambda
  • Experience in building design systems and component libraries is preferred
  • Experience in micro-frontend architecture is preferred
  • Experience in making successful trade-offs that balance the short- and long-term product goals
  • Partner with the engineering directors to build strong engineering teams
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

How you will lead

As the Development leader of Intuit's AppFabric, our Web and Mobile platform capabilities and Intuit Design System for the flagship products of Intuit, you will set the long-term vision for Intuit's high scale micro front-end offerings across the ecosystem and will be responsible for executing that vision. From ideation to development to adoption, you'll lead an organization focused on accelerating development velocity through a unified web and mobile application development platform for delivering seamless customer experiences across all Intuit product lines and accelerating the productivity of the development community by providing end-to-end product solutions. The scope of the work covering App Fabric is critical for Intuit to accelerate innovation and to realize our AI-driven expert platform strategy.

The ideal candidate's experience encompasses leadership in software development, operating large-scale web and mobile infrastructure scaling to millions of users, strategic acumen to lead and chart the course for foundational platform capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams across Intuit. This leader will have the ability to leverage prior success building and rearchitecting products and platforms that run at scale.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Drive end-to-end vision for the AppFabric platform capabilities across a diverse set of Intuit's product offerings
  • Lead the technology evolution of the front-end application frameworks, including data, analytics, productivity and tools across the web and mobile.
  • Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes
  • Present your own designs to internal and external groups, review designs of others
  • Participates in industry conferences and public speaking opportunities at technology and business conferences
  • Inspire innovation and deliver quality at speed across offerings and platform
  • Partner with engineering leaders across Intuit to identify areas across people, process, and technology to dramatically improve velocity
