Strategic Technology Analysis Researcher

Job Description
The Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group (NSG) has many technology choices, and resulting investment options to evaluate for long term technology roadmap development. The researcher will be responsible for managing the process of aligning options for analysis with NSG technologist, and manufacturing managers, developing analysis methods and tools, making data and model based recommendations, and presenting analysis and recommendation summaries to management. The researcher will function within a team environment, and managing their work in the context of the team. The researcher will also contribute to the competitive intelligence cycle of data gathering, summarizing, interpreting, cataloguing, and response formulation.

Qualifications

Basic requirements include an engineering Bachelor's degree, and an MBA with 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in multiple areas including an engineering discipline, business planning, and financial analysis. The candidate must also demonstrate a strong ability to manage personal performance, solid business partnership/influence and leadership skills, a proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to communicate clearly/concisely both verbally and in written form. This role requires comfort with and the ability to influence across your team, job functions, and sites, and to navigate through a high degree of ambiguity.Helpful background includes work in the semiconductor industry, an understanding of costing methodologies, competitive analysis, and/or system thinking and improvement processes.

Non-Volatile Solutions Memory Group:  The Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group is a worldwide organization that delivers NAND flash memory products for use in Solid State Drives (SSDs), portable memory storage devices, digital camera memory cards, and other devices.  The group is responsible for NVM technology design and development, complete Solid State Drive (SSD) system hardware and firmware development, as well as wafer and SSD manufacturing.
