As a business unit within Intel, we will continue to apply Moore's Law to drive the future of field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology. The Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) has been delivering industry-leading custom logic solutions to customers since inventing the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984. In order to take advantage of the many opportunities that we see in the future for FPGA's, PSG is looking for phenomenal senior level Strategic Business Development Manager to join the Wireless business group. The role is a great individual contributor opportunity, for someone that is looking to bring their previous experience in complex digital semiconductor, and help the PSG accelerate our market share and revenue growth globally.
As a Strategic Business Development Manager, you will partner with Sales, Engineering, Product Planning, Product Marketing and other departments in order to drive PSG's success in the Wireless markets as measured by design wins, revenue growth, and margin and market segment share. You will help create a comprehensive strategy and FPGA value proposition to win in the Wireless markets in alignment with other Intel business units including future product definition, system solutions and investments. Develop and maintain a strong ecosystem of partners for solution development and make recommendation on investment targets, which align with our strategic objectives and work with Intel Capital to execute deals. Lead early customer engagements and enable the field to successfully engage and win in the marketplace. Influence the greater PSG and other Intel business units to support the strategies. Communicate internally and externally to inform, gain support and create opportunities.

Your day to day may include, but not limited to:
Collaborate with sales to uncover opportunities and customer requirements
Conduct market research, trend and competitive analysis, collaborate with internal partners,
Propose strategic business plan and solution to customers to ensure design win
Strategize and build long term relationships with top customers
Drive technology collaboration with customers
Manage business development and marketing activities for market segment(s)
Create & communicate, the market segment long-term outlook, contributing to the long-term strategic plan
Develop emerging technology strategic plan and lead early customer engagements
Influence solution and product development by partnering closely with product planning and product marketing
Identify, build and collaborate with ecosystem partners
Increase value to customers by incorporating extended solutions from ecosystem partners
Work with other Intel business units


Minimum Qualifications
• MSEE, MSCE, or PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, or wireless communications
• 8+ years of working experience in semiconductor (FPGA, ASIC, etc.) or high-tech industry (wireless, telecom, network infrastructure, RAN, 5G, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in a technical business-related role (e.g., technical marketing, technical business development, technical product management, strategic partnership, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in program management (managing complex deal) and contract/deal negotiation (term sheet, MoU, SOW)
• 5+ years of experience in disruptive wireless market (vRAN, FlexRAN, MEC, Edge Computing)

Preferred (Additional) Qualifications
• 10+ years of working experience in semiconductor or high-tech industry, preferably in a FPGA, ASIC, GPU, SoC, telecom, network, etc.
•Experience with Mobile operators and/or network infrastructure vendor
• MBA is a plus
• Experience working with industry partners, developers' community and/or customers in a strategic role
