Job Description
Intel is looking for a Senior Platform Clock Architect. As a key member of our client platform architecture team you will have a unique opportunity to shape power and performance of a broad range of Intel's next-generation products and architectures. In this technical role you will work with SOC and System architects and designers to define and drive world class end-to-end system clocking solutions for next generation high-performance products based on advanced Intel CPU architectures and latest process technology nodes Job duties: • Develop and drive clocking Solutions Architecture Specifications, including analysis of requirements, HW-SW split, analysis of power/performance/area tradeoffs and performance simulations • Work closely with multiple platform architecture domains, such as I/O, Audio and Connectivity to define new platform timing solutions • Collaborate with SOC architecture teams to drive architecture for power and area efficient implementations and ensure that SOC clocking architecture efficiently aligns with the platform timing constraints • Decompose platform product requirements into detailed Functional Requirements to develop system clock architectures to meet end-to-end Performance and Power needs. • Provide inputs to platform design guides, reference platform designs and support any clocking related validation as needed to ensure that the reference platforms are debugged and validated
Qualifications
• Master of Science degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience • Knowledge of desktop and mobile PC System Architecture • Basic knowledge of clocking IP such as PLLs, crystal oscillators, discrete clock chips and buffers • Basic knowledge of high speed I/O interfaces, timing jitter and logic design • A background in signal integrity, Electromagnetic Interference and/or RF-Interference is a plus • Ability to multi-task and to independently develop specifications, evaluate test plans and provide feedback
