We are looking for a Software Product Architect who conducts or participates in multidisciplinary activities between Software, Firmware, Architecture and Hardware teams.

We give you an opportunity to be a person who decides about Software architecture changes, judge possibilities of features requests' implementation and have huge impact on the design change requirements. Working on this position you will cooperate with all Software teams in EPG, in order to design complex and stable solutions.

As a SW Product Architect, you will deliver your judgement of the effort for new features' requests during the phase of planning, starting from early marketing assumptions, architecture, designs, and implementation and finally validation and official releases. Past of your duties will be also a cooperation with Hardware and Firmware Architects, where changes in Firmware require Software changes as well.

Regarding to Software you will be responsible for knowing source code architecture of Intel network drivers, for different Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, FreeBSD, VMware ESXi), a set of user-space application dedicated for NVM update, and Intel Network Adapter configuration or Silicon Validation tools or Manufacturing tools. You will also have got an opportunity to get and use the knowledge about UEFI boot drivers (UEFI, PXE, iSCSI).

You will be strong part of Software deliverables to Hardware teams, and influence on SW development: Code Complete phase, SW Silicon Validation, Power-On, pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, Product Candidate (PC) and Product Validated (PV) milestones.

We give you an opportunity to represent SW Engineering and provide technical input as a part of the Product PDT.

You should be familiar with Linux and Windows environments including technical networking aspects. As a SW Product Architect, you will respond (or contribute to) to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

This position will also allow you to drive resolution for issues/defects related to source code quality, security and integrity. On this position you will closely cooperate with Program Manager (PM) and Program Integration Managers (PIMs) as well as development teams, on monitoring the progress of committed features. You will also participate in making decision of EPG SW group priorities from both technical and business perspectives, and strategy to mitigate all met risks with coming EPG SW releases.

  • Focus on customer needs and proven experience as a Product Owner
  • Knowledge of PC-based System Architecture, BIOS, Operating Systems & Applications.
  • Troubleshooting, problem solving, multi-tasking, organization, and customer management skills are critical to success in this role.
  • Excellent team work skills including ability to work with multiple and remote groups worldwide.
  • Proven experience in working on SW projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers of all skill levels.

Nice to have:

  • Proven experience in driving product requirements and managing changes to requirements, and monitoring SW project progress
  • Knowledge of Networking protocols and functionality including Ethernet/UDP/TCP/IP.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet MAC and PHY Hardware components
  • Experience in source code development device drivers or end-user Tools or Applications.
  • Background in networking architecture and networking products - preferably with Intel Ethernet products (LOMs and adapters).
  • Master's degree in Software Development Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science, or a degree in similar technical area or relevant experience.
  • Experience with creating technical documentation

Soft skills:

  • Team Work: ability to work in groups, leading cross-functional, cross-site teams in the development of plans, schedules and project scope.
  • Ability to establishing SW Project priorities, performing risk assessment, creating mitigation plans, and managing issues to be closed.
  • Creative approach to problem resolution.
