Job Description
Intel System Architecture and Simulation (SAS) team is looking for a Simulation Infrastructure Software Engineer.
This senior full-time position is responsible for developing tools, flows, methods and infrastructure for architecture and microarchitecture performance models to be used in a wide range of products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Building and supporting infrastructure and building blocks for Intel`s performance simulators and models
- Experimentally exploring feature ideas through modeling, simulation, and data analysis
- Interacting and communicating with architecture, design, validation, and research teams to achieve project goals
- Supporting internal and external software development and optimization

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job.
Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 2 years of relevant work experience OR M.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 4 years of relevant work experience OR B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 6 years of relevant work experience.
8 + years of work or educational experience in the following areas:
- Programming in C/C++
- Programming in Python
- Experience in developing simulation infrastructure and models
Preferred Requirements:
High-level modeling of CPU cores, core components (e.g. caches), or systems.
Industry experience in CPU product development, delivery, and support.
Experience in Containers.
Experience in building automation systems.
Research publications, patent filings, or other evidence of personal technical innovation in computer architecture.
Familiarity with broader computer architecture research through conferences and/or job responsibilities.
Familiarity with compilers and low-level software optimization.
