Security Engineer

Job Description
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Understand existing design and code implementations of storage devices.
• Responsible for low-level design and implementation of next generation security features in the form of proof-of-concepts (POC) as well as full feature development for shipping product.
• Responsible for developing software and firmware code to showcase feature demos.
• Responsible for documenting various stages of software development.
The ideal candidate will show:

• Communication skills and willingness to work across teams and sites.
Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Minimum Requirements:
The candidate must have a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
1 year of experience in the following areas:

• Programming using C/C
• Scripting using Python/Bash
• Computer internals and operating systems
• Software and firmware debugging

Preferred Requirements:
1 year of experience in the following areas:
• Security and privacy primitives including understanding of cryptography concepts.
• Hands-on usage of crypto libraries such as OpenSSL, mbedTLS.
• Storage protocols such as NVMe, SATA.
• Background in working with FPGAs for prototyping
