Job Description
We are looking for an experienced senior SW development engineer with both hardware & software skills to join the Validation IP and Architecture team. The Validation IP and Architecture team provides core validation models and infrastructure for both IP and Server SoC teams at Intel. You will have the opportunity to participate in the development of a wide range of capabilities, covering next generation IP and CPU architectures with multi-processor system communication protocols.

You will participate in the complete software development life cycle from problem research and solution concept thru implementation, validation and production release. You will be working closely with the project manager and other senior technical contributors to develop software based products, employing sound SW architecture and design methodologies. Activities include problem analysis and requirements definition jointly with other Intel product development teams. Your specific responsibilities may include any of the following target areas:
- Functional model development of complex CPU behaviors and system protocols
- System level simulation and analysis of interconnected functional models
- Development of validation environment infrastructures and capabilities
- Development of modular validation methodologies enabling integration and reuse

Qualifications

MS or PhD in EECS, ECE, or related computing discipline
7-10 years of experience in development memory sub-systems or high performance CPUs
5+ years of experience in Interconnect, Coherency controller or CPU core RTL design
Experience with Physical design flow from high level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power optimization
knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog, DC, ICC, and Primetime
Understanding of trade off and optimization technique between Performance, Power and Area
General scripting and programming skills (Python, Perl, C/C++, etc.)
Formal Verification experience would be a plus
