Research Intern - Intelligent Systems

The Intelligent Systems Lab at Intel Labs is seeking a motivated Ph.D.-level intern in the area of intelligent systems. This internship position is only open to Ph.D. students who are actively enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.In this position, will be responsible for conceiving, researching, and prototyping new AI techniques. Will use strong knowledge of mathematical and algorithmic techniques to identify and develop new methods in intelligent systems. This requires a comprehensive understanding of the state of the art.Must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Expected to maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and to contribute to scientific literature and the research community at large.Possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum qualifications and experience:
+ 1 year Actively enrolled in a Ph.D. program in computer science or a related discipline
+ 3 years Strong software engineering background.
+ 3 years Strong mathematical background.
Minimum of 2 years of research experience with two or more of the following areas:
Strong software engineering experience demonstrated through publicly available software systems
2+ publications in first-tier, highly selective international conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, or SIGGRAPH
