Place & Route Automation Engineer

This position is in the Programmable Solutions Group, building ASIC Physical Design flows to create cutting edge FPGAs and IP.
Your responsible will include:
- Owning project-specific design flows
- Working closely with project Synthesis / Physical Design teams to resolve flow related issues promptly to keep project development moving forward steadily.
- Working closely with other DA engineers to ensure a homogeneous user experience across sub-flows.
- Setting up experiments to isolate issues reported by the project team and to test candidate solutions.
- Tracking outstanding issues with the internal vendor support team as well as the vendor directly when appropriate.
- Providing guidance to the design team, when appropriate.
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
10+ years of automation engineering experience
8+ years of experience in the use of Synopsys DesignCompiler / ICC2 / FusionCompiler for the implementation of area, frequency, and power constrained designs
Experience in Primetime static timing
