Job Description
Who are we:
Intel C2DG PHY/Analog/Special/Mixed-signal VLSI Circuit Design Team developing High Speed IOs and Advanced PHYs using state of the art technologies (7nm and beyond) for the next generation Intel Client products, that can be found in every house and impacting everyday life of billions of people.
What you will do:
In this role you will lead and define next generation Analog Circuits and PHY uArch for the most advanced Intel products, while understanding and considering the Package, Signal Integrity and System level impact aspects.
This includes definition of required silicon uArch features and specifications for circuit design teams to meet very high communication speeds with emphasis on high throughput and low power design, and compliance with external communication protocols & Specs:

  • Drivers/receivers arch, equalization types (CTLE/DFE) and other critical parameters definition
  • CDR (clock data recovery), DCO, A/D topologies and modeling
  • Clock distribution planning and modeling
  • Jitter and Power supply noise modeling
  • Signal integrity modeling, including ISI, X-talk cancelation and other advanced compensation techniques required to achieve extremely high speed signaling

The daily work includes System/behavioral modeling of high-speed interfaces from high level concept using Verilog-A/Simulink/Matlab/Mixed-signal models, to low level block implementation using CMOS VLSI circuits, with close collaboration with Analog, Back-end, Logic, Validation, Signal integrity, Architecture and Post-Silicon validation teams during the product development cycle.


BSc or higher degree (added advantage) in Electrical or Computer Engineering from a well-known University.
6+ years (for BSc) or 4+ years (for MSc) of PHY System engineering experience (higher experience is an added advantage).
Analog/IO/Mixed-signal VLSI circuit design experience is an added advantage.
Signal Integrity/Power Integrity knowledge is an added advantage.
Top to bottom knowledge of high-speed Analog IO design and PHY architectures is an added advantage.
Strong sense of innovation, self-learning skills and self-driven.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
