Networking System Validation Lead/Architect for FPGA & SmartNIC

Job Description
Determines, specifies and evaluates the viability of complex hardware features and structures and ensures that software and hardware designs interface correctly. Designs framework for particular functions. Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses. Influences the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families. Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.
Qualifications

- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years in FPGA, SoC, IO and transceiver validation or design
- Strong hands-on experience in developing validation test plans, board bring-up, automation, debug of complex FPGA or SoC designs
- Strong hands-on experience in FPGA design development including Verilog and System Verilog HDL, functional verification, timing closure and EDA tools such as Intel Quartus II and Modelsim
- Expertise in PCI express, Ethernet protocols (50G/100G/200G), DDR4 architecture and design
- Expertise in networking protocols such as packet processing, TCP/IP offload, VirtIO
- Strong hands-on experience with protocol analyzers, validation boards and associated lab equipment
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or programming languages such as C
- Knowledge in FW, SW stack and linux device drivers for networking, and open source stacks such as DPDK and OVS
- Strong track record of taking initiative and driving projects to completion
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to influence and work across large teams across sites
