Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Products Group (DPG) as a Network Hardware Engineer!

The Network Engineer is part of Intel's Network Products Operation NPO within the Connectivity Group CG and will design, validate, and support network adapter boards, as well as validate optical Network Interface modules and cables. These products, and the support Intel provides, generate profits and are key to the success of the current and next generation Intel platforms for major OEMs and Cloud customers. In this role, you will use Intel developed high speed Ethernet controller components (20/25/40/100G ) and FPGAs, to develop and support leading edge network adapters to be used in data centers across the world. You will interact with various functions, including product architects, silicon developers, software and customer facing engineers.

The Data Products Group (DPG) drives new products technologies from high-end co-processors for supercomputers to low-energy systems for enterprise and the cloud, as well as solutions for big data and intelligent devices. The group is a worldwide organization that develops the products and technologies that power nine of every 10 servers sold worldwide.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree, plus some minimum industry work experience.
• Some experience designing, debugging, validating, and bringing to production circuit boards containing PCI express and high-speed Ethernet interfaces - 1/10/25/40/100G+.
• Experience designing and validating board products with PCIe Gen3+.
• Experience with DFM/DFT, especially Intel's version, US and international regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with Cadence Allegro.
• Experience creating clear, complete documentation board hardware specifications, test methodology, test plans, and test reports.
• Experience debugging at the circuit board level using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network and spectrum analyzers, and other relevant lab equipment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience designing Ethernet physical layer interfaces to be specification/regulatory compliant- fiber, copper and backplane.
• Ability to work and contribute in a cross-functional product team - marketing, manufacturing, customer support, test, etc.
• Project experience identifying deliverables, representing HW schedules, and regularly communicating status.
• Excellent English verbal and writing communication skills.
