LTD Industrial Engineer
Logic Technology Development (LTD) Industrial Engineers are responsible for developing industrial engineering methods for each technology in the areas of fab layout and capacity, implementing them locally, and then transferring them to the other sites (VF) around Intel. TD industrial engineers work with their process engineering counterparts and the equipment suppliers to create and validate capacity models for every equipment type. They use those models in conjunction with the technology's semiconductor process flow to build a capacity Model of Record that is used to predict equipment quantities and timings to meet the technology ramps across the company. TD industrial engineers also work with process engineers and equipment suppliers to spatially optimize the configuration of first-of-a-kind equipment and use that information to create layout blocks and layout methodologies that are used at the TD site and across the VF. After developing the layout and capacity methods for the technology, TD industrial engineers transfer those methods to the other Intel sites by training the VF site industrial engineers and approving their site layouts. Locally, TD industrial engineers work with the construction team to ensure accurate implementation of the layout and with the operations teams on a variety of fab efficiency improvement projects.
This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
- Candidate must possess a Master's or PhD degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum of 3 months of experience in one or the following:
- Designing equipment layout and workflow
- Developing, validating and summarizing equipment performance data for capacity modeling and analysis
- Documenting, training and reviewing/auditing the implementation of that material
