Logic Design Engineering Intern
Optane Technology is a revolutionary new memory technology announced by Intel which is projected to transform the compute memory hierarchy.
The Optane Component Design team is a small group of engineers in Folsom California who are dedicated to making this new technology successful. Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a t technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Applicants will creatively apply the technical know-how (engineering fundamentals, scientific knowledge, systems thinking, analytical thinking, prototyping, and testing knowledge) against design constraints and boundary conditions (industrial design, cost, performance criteria and other design constraints) to research, develop and productive mass producible solutions. You will work part of the RTL Design & Verification group assisting team members, debugging simulations and other aspects design and verification flows.

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Internship length is for a minimum of 6 months with the option to extended to 12 months. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
The candidate must be pursuing a MS in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum 6+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:
- Course work with System Verilog, RTL Design, Universal Verification Methodology.
- Knowledge of Object Oriented programming
Preferred qualifications. Experience/knowledge in the following:
- Minimum 6+ months of experience in:
- FPGA design
- Static timing analysis
