IIIV Epitaxy Scientist

Join Intel's Silicon Photonics Product Division team as a IIIV Epitaxy Scientist.
In this position you will be a member of the team responsible for developing lasers and other IIIV devices for integration with Intel's Silicon Photonics. You will need to develop, optimize and characterize III-V based epitaxy designs and growth across different products and development activities.
The successful candidate must have III-V semiconductor based MOCVD growth and materials characterization experience. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: epi growth and characterization data analysis, defect characterization, correlation of metrology data to device performance and reliability, process modeling and simulations.
This is a highly collaborative role working across an interdisciplinary team of IIIV Growth, Design, Integration, Test, and Reliability engineers;
Successful candidate should have excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills.
They will also need superior organizational and project management skills to solve problems and execute with a sense of urgency.
Must have either a MS in Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Physics, Optical Science or related technical field with 4+ years of experience or / PhD with 2+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, Optical Science or related technical field
- 3+ years' experience in MOCVD growth and characterization of semiconductor III-V epitaxial materials
- 2+ years' experience with materials characterization techniques such as XRD, PL, Surfscan, AFM, SIMS, TEM, SEM, ECV etc.
- 2+ years' experience analyzing epi growth and characterization data
Preferred Qualifications :
- 1+ years of experience in statistical data analysis (JMP)
- 1+ years of experience in statistical process control (SPC)
- 1+ years of experience in compound semiconductor process modeling
- 1+ years of experience in failure modes and material growth issues in InP & GaAs based laser devices a plus
