THE ROLE: • Drive Pre-silicon development/validation at IP and SoC level to improvements in functional quality and performance/watt for the next generation of Intel Exa-scale GPU/Compute Engines KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop validation strategies, verifying the design architecture, u-arch using advanced verification methodologies. • Understand, characterize GPU/Compute workloads to develop effective validation plans and methodologies across simulation/emulation platforms • Identify/Analyze performance/power bottlenecks and work seamless in a cross-function environment • Work with the Performance Verification team to validate the Model, and to root cause disconnects between Model projections, design (RTL), and ultimately, Silicon. • Analyze and report failure and sightings and drive them to closure with collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams • Defining verification scope and driving the development of verification infrastructure, DV strategies and test-planning for graphics IP subsystems • Proficient in verification of design IP with SystemVerilog, advanced methodologies (such as UVM), and design and verification tools • Passionate about delivering bug-free first silicon
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: • Prior hands-on GPU/CPU/Compute hardware experience; GPU/Compute is a plus • Strong background and track record in developing functional, performance/power analysis methodologies. • Extensive Pre-silicon Simulation/Emulation debug experience. • Excellent knowledge of Verilog, C, C , and a scripting language; experience with Perl and Python is a plus • Strong understanding of SoC architecture • Prior knowledge of OpenGL/OpenCL/DirectX is a plus • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details. • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: • MS/BS with 10 years of experience
