Firmware Engineer

Job Description
Coreboot team require proficient software developers with excellent BIOS and Linux Kernel development understanding. The candidates are required to develop Coreboot firmware. For all positions, the candidates should be able to understand customer requirements, review software architecture specs, develop low level design for their solutions, do unit testing & system regression testing etc.

The job involves extensive debugging for both functionality as well as Power & Performance optimization on Linux under Chrome. The candidates must have good Linux kernel & driver hands-on experience

Qualifications
Top 3 Skills: Minimum Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent or Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent
with good knowledge in C-programming and problem solving skills and having good academic record
Any work experience in the below skills is a plus

-Developing UEFI firmware and/or BIOS or FW based on embedded Linux
-Experience and knowledge in C
- Working with tools like Git/Gerrit in Linux environment
-Experience with PC architecture and operating systems

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to communicate and network effectively in a multi-geo organization
