Job Description
Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for CPU Core development. Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. Defines module interfaces/formats for simulation. Performs Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and subsystems into CPU Core full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for CPU Cores. Contributes to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Performs all aspects of the CPU Core design flow from high level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing. Analyzes equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results. May also review vendor capability to support development. Selects, develops, and evaluates CPU Core design engineers to ensure the efficient operation of the function.


Required Qualifications:
BS. EE/CS (MS / PhD EE/CS Preferred)
10+ years of experience in leading next generation CPU Design teams
10+ years of experience in CPU Design Debug & Validation
10+ years of experience influencing and shaping outcomes with senior executive level stakeholders.
10+ years of experience leading, driving, managing, motivating and developing large teams of people to high performance levels.
10+ years of experience translating technology road maps and strategy to operational improvement.
Keen understanding of industry trends in regards to CPU Design & Validation

Preferred Qualifications:
Domain expertise in relevant adjacent fields (ie: Performance Modeling, uArch, RTL, Circuit Design, Timing, Noise...)
Keen business acumen.
Proven experience managing multiple and complex issues.
Clear reputation for ethical conduct and unquestionable integrity.
Excellent business & financial judgment.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience building training programs at all levels (from awareness training through technical training).
Persuasive in communications.
Skills to command the immediate respect of a senior audience.
Demonstrated flexible intellect to move from the big picture to the management of fine detail and simplify complex and conflicting tasks and policy positions.
Adept at enforcing good processes, and not just policy interpretation.
