Design automation engineer for APR/PNR and timing

Job Description
This position is for individual contributor role of enabling/deploying flow and methodologies for place and route tools and timing analysis, for a team that focuses on enabling Intel technology R&D. In this position, you will be expected to develop and support solutions in a wide variety of activities related to Synthesis (DC/ICC2/Fusion Compiler), Routing, Timing convergence and Physical convergence. You will be working on leading edge process node's design and IP. You will be expected to work with key stakeholders in design, central CAD, design teams on similar technologies, local CAD teams and will have opportunity to share, contribute and influence the flow and methodology for advanced technology nodes in APR and Timing domain. You will be participating in the development of next generation tools and methodologies in physical design world closely working with both external and internal vendors

Qualifications

Candidate should have 4 years of relevant experience, with masters in VLSI/ Microelectronics/Electronics engineering or equivalent and have worked on industry standard tools for place and route implementation and timing analysis , like Fusion Compiler/ ICC2/ Prime Time / ETS. He should be well versed with different parameters to optimize flow in terms of quality and run time. Candidates should have good understanding of various collateral needed for enabling and implementation of Place & Route flow and timing analysis. He/ She should have good knowledge of semiconductor physics, process technology ,EDA tools and associated challenges for advance technology. He / She should have good scripting skill like TCL/ Perl, for automation. Knowledge of any other Implementation and analysis tool is plus.
