Design Automation Engineer

The ideal candidate will be very familiar with the physical verification flows such as LVS, DRC, Density and also with tools/flows that verify reliability of circuits (includes EM/IR, Aging, EOS, and ESD). This candidate should be fluent in scripting with Perl, TCL, or Python and understand the specs that will be provided by senior engineers and code to the spec. Applies advanced troubleshooting to automation system problems. Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs.
This is an internship and compensation will be given accordingly based on candidate education level and internship duration.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
- The candidate must be working towards a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering field and be eligible to work as an intern for six months or more.
- Knowledge in scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, or Python any experience using EDA tools such as Virtuoso, StarRC, Totem, etc. would be very helpful.
