COE Rebates Analyst

Job Description
With Sales and Marketing Group's exciting transformation and scale efforts we are in need of a motivated, business savvy analyst looking to develop their leadership skills. This role will be critical to Intel's successful scaling of our rebate activities in ASIA/EMEA region. Initially this individual will help scale and facilitate the rebates, close and reporting processes for ASIA/EMEA accounts, ensuring that we have the right controls on our rebate payments and accruals so that we can recognize revenue properly. The scope will grow as we look to further build the capability on-site with further transformative efforts. This individual will also have the opportunity to work on cross-group rebate related processes, and forward looking alternatives that deliver optimal financial performance. There is heavy engagement with operations in defining processes for rebate complexities in new deals and businesses, driving process efficiencies with rebate managers, improving rebate forecasting, and standardizing the rebates process. Last but not least, this individual will co-own the largest single accrual at Intel. For the analysts that lands the role there is no shortage of strategic and highly valuable (and visible) work in one of Intel's most exciting finance organizations.


Requires thorough working knowledge of finance, accounting and business analysis. Bachelor's, Master's or MBA degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or related field and 4 years of related practical experience. Independently and proactively analyses financial information and develops solutions to complex problems. Consistently utilizes and applies advanced financial modelling, accounting, business and risk management skills. Provides varying levels of advice and financial information to operational business groups or factories to drive the business decision making process. Supports business by closing the books, analysing variances and trends, and developing financial forecasts that are consistent with the business objectives of the organization. Provides information and counsel in the areas of controls/risk management, budgeting and planning, pricing, cost, marketing strategies, return on investment decisions, and the development of overall business plans and strategies. Ensures compliance with reporting standards and corporate policies and the integrity of external and internal reporting. Plans and schedules own work to ensure the timely completion of interrelated to independent tasks and projects with very limited direction. Regularly applies strategies and concepts and draws on a cumulative knowledge base from previous experiences to independently execute an appropriate course of action. Develops solutions to a broad mix of moderate to complex business challenges. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions can cause considerable impact to business plans and results as well as project objectives and scheduling of work within own and other organizations. Interprets information for and negotiates with clients and customers both internal and external to the organization. Provides input to management including department heads, operational managers, other departments, and senior management. Responsible for providing financial support to larger or more profitable departments and accounts.
Bachelor degree in accounting/finance related fields.
4 years of relevant experience.
Excellent understanding of risk management & controls; is able to execute plans and interpret and defend his/her assessments through a clear understanding of the risks under consideration.
Excellent written and verbal English communication; able to clearly and concisely articulate issues to an unfamiliar, diverse audience and his/her audit team with reasonable assistance from more senior audit team members.
Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of business processes and their interrelationships. Uses knowledge of business drivers to provide insight issues identified.
Good discipline, organization skills and strong action orientation
Strong analytical skills, detailed oriented, ability to manage project, systems and processes and manage to meet critical deadlines.
Ability to develop business partnering relationships across different organizational levels and geographical locations, understanding customers' critical agenda and proactively contributed.
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
