BIOS/FW Engineer

Job Description
Responsible for leading system level power management enabling and debug on Intel's next generation CPU's and chipsets, contributes towards making platform software releases for Intel's client platforms. Responsibilities extends from power management enabling during platform power on till platform software stack maturity including stress and stability. Works closely with pre-silicon validation team on HSLE/HFPGA platform to enable OS power management features before SOC tape-in. Collaborate with various Intel internal organizations like post silicon validation, converged security, HW/SW IP and BIOS teams to enable and debug platform power management features towards releasing the BKC SW stack for Intel's client platforms.
•Excellent understanding of ACPI spec, firmware boot flows on Platform, SOC power management flows and debug
•Win OS concept, KMDF/UMD driver dev, WinDbg and platform debug experiences
Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans (for product security features, system Stress Stability and concurrency, OS and System Debug capabilities). Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.

Qualifications
Qualifications: BS/MS in computer science or electronics engineering, with more than 5 - 10 years (Engineer)/ 11 years of industry experience in System Software/Silicon Validation (Windows System Validation preferably).
