It provides a much-needed break in a long day, a taste that brings back memories, a creative experiment, a shared meal with loved ones, or even comfort during a hard time. Whether it's a special occasion or an everyday occurrence, it should always be easy for people to get the ingredients they need.
The Instacart Product Team is dedicated to making grocery shopping effortless for everyone. By helping take care of the shopping, we help people get good food and give them back time to do what matters most. About the Team
The Consumer Growth team makes it possible for people to find Instacart, discover the value it offers, and make it an indispensable part of their lives.
Bring the world to Instacart - We make sure we show up everywhere customers might need our service. When customers google "grocery delivery," we're there. When they ask a friend how to get groceries delivered, they get a referral code toward their first order. And no matter how a customer discovers Instacart, the growth team will make sure their first experience with us is a success by attracting a steady stream of shoppers to the platform.
Connect customers to everything we offer - We make sure that customers discover a robust, intuitive marketplace with an array of price points that maps to their real needs. We get customers to their first order, removing friction for users across our different platforms, backgrounds, and products. At times this may mean introducing or upselling existing features; at others, this will require building net-new features to help users discover the value of Instacart.
Change the way they shop - We focus on driving long-term value by building trust and encouraging behaviors that enable easeful, delightful, and habitual use of Instacart (e.g., growing native app users and automating weekly grocery orders).
ABOUT THE JOB
- Lead a product growth team focusing on helping people discover and make Instacart a habit.
- Partner with engineering, design, data science, marketing, research, sales, partnerships, finance, and marketing to develop the strategy and drive execution.
- Communicate product plans, benefits, and results to all audiences - within teams, companies, users, etc.
- Drive day to day execution of product initiatives that align with short, medium, and long-term strategy while communicating updates to all relevant stakeholders
- Participate in interviewing, hiring decisions, on-boarding, and mentoring new PMs to make them productive members of the team quickly.
ABOUT YOU
- 4+ years in Product Management at a technology company with 1+ years of work on a growth product team
- Background in engineering, data science, growth marketing, finance, or consulting preferred
- Experience with A/B testing, long-term holdouts, and modeling out product impact
- Experience working with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, including Finance, Marketing, Partnerships, and/or Sales teams
- Experience influencing the Executive Team members on strategy and cross-functional initiatives
