Scientific Communications Manager

The role of Scientific Communications Manager will report to the Head of R&D and the Director of Scientific Engagement and Communications, supporting them with team communications and project deadline management. Additionally, this candidate will use their significant scientific research understanding to shape media content and presentations. This position will play a key role in contributing to Indigo’s presence as a leader in the realm of public scientific communications.


  • Develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) for rice, corn, and soybean grain sampling
  • Identifies events, publications, and stakeholders for scientific communications
  • Creates scientific paper and presentation content
  • Maintains communication within the team and assists with project deadline tracking

  • Strong computer skills; MS Office applications

  • A valid driver’s license


  • Ph.D. in related field OR master’s degree and 5+ years experience OR bachelor’s degree and 8+ years experience
  • 5+ years experience with scientific communications
  • Strong understanding of scientific writing and literature reviews
  • Background in academic writing and presentation preferred but not required
