Regional Account Manager- North

Indigo’s mission is harnessing nature to help farmers sustainably feed the planet.  We will achieve our mission through grower profitability, sustainable farming practices, and linking grower production with the needs of consumers. We have discovered a transformational opportunity to improve global crop yield and reduce the use of agricultural chemicals and fertilizers by utilizing the core microbiome inside plants to confer material yield and crop protection benefits across a variety of crops, geographies and stresses.  The challenge and opportunity for Indigo is to gain critical first mover advantages by scaling quickly and effectively (~$1B 2020 revenue.)

The role of Regional Account Manager- North will report to VP, Business Unit and be responsible for developing a region and leveraging existing relationships within that community.

 

Outcomes:

 Works closely with the Business Unit VP to develop sales and operations business plan for region

  • Will meet or exceed sales goals as established by Indigo leadership team
  • Recruit and hire A players who can deliver quarterly goals
  • Will coach and develop regional sales team to meet and/or exceed goals, both personally and professionally
  • Leverage existing relationships within the community and region in which the Regional Account Manager oversees to drive business and growth within region
  • Create great internal relationships with R&D, Supply Chain, Sales Ops, People, and Business Development and work closely with these groups on a day to day basis

Experience:

  • 5+ years working in the Agriculture industry
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of farming
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Experience in the specific region
