International People Partner

The role of the International People Partner is to partner with the international team to deliver on the organizational elements of building the international business, specifically focused on recruiting, onboarding, learning and development, talent management, and people operations, including people analytics, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and managing technology systems.  This role will be entrepreneurial and a core part of building Indigo’s international presence.  It will require outstanding people skills, strong strategic thinking and good problem-solving abilities, process orientation and ability to execute, and an optimistic and collaborative mindset. 

This role will also provide a conduit between the International activities and all centralized People functions in Boston and this person must be an inspiring champion of the Indigo mission and culture.  This role will report directly to the Head of People in Boston, with a dotted line to the Chief Operating Office.



  • Work closely with COO to develop strategic plan for building International People organization including hiring plans, people operations, learning and development, and managing associated budgets
  • Lead hiring in international locations to support aggressive goals, including setting strategies for hiring targets, sourcing candidates, and building strong relationships with recruiters and brand ambassadors in local markets
  • Build Indigo Talent Brand in all international markets as an innovative company with strong professional growth opportunities, and a mission-driven organization that is a healthy and motivating place to work
  • Establish benefits in local markets and ensure they are running smoothly
  • Manage compensation across all international markets
  • Establish learning and development programs, tailored to local markets but consistent with all Indigo programs
  • Create international onboarding and training programs
  • Ensure that Indigo builds a culture across locations that feels consistent and true to Indigo’s mission and core values
  • Implement employee engagement tools that are consistent with corporate tools, allowing us to gather analytics and data
  • Resolve People issues efficiently, thoughtfully and with empathy
  • Oversee performance reviews and ensure they are managed consistently across geographies
  • Communicate effectively with People team in HQ, and throughout the US
  • Establish rapport to be a true business partner to the International central team, Head of Countries, and with leadership across Indigo
  • Operate as a modern, efficient and strategic organization, creating a “different” kind of People team (not a bureaucratic, stereotypical slow-moving HR team)
