Director, Marketplace Product Marketing

 

Indigo improves grower profitability, environmental sustainability, and consumer health through the use of natural microbiology and digital technologies. Utilizing beneficial plant microbes and agronomic insights, Indigo works with growers to sustainably produce high quality harvests. The company then connects growers and buyers directly to bring these harvests to market. Responsibilities:

 

  • Refine and document the Marketplace segmentation and positioning strategy and develop Buyer and Grower-specific value propositions
  • Develop sales collateral that effectively communicates value propositions and positioning and is aligned to each step in the selling process
  • Produce a standard Marketplace product presentations and demo scripts that can be used by the Buyer and Grower sales teams in a typical sales process
  • Develop a lead generation process that is designed to generate qualified leads
  • Create a nurturing campaign to pursue Buyers/Growers not currently active in Marketplace
  • Complete a Marketplace Product Marketing Requirements document and work with Global Marketplace to use this document to make customer-centric, fact-based decision-making about future Marketplace features and functionality
  • Partner with the Marketplace Learning Manager to design and deliver training programs to help the sales channels focus on how to sell the Marketplace
  • Work with Corporate Marketing, Global Marketplace Product Management, Commercial and Channel Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment of Marketplace positioning and messaging aligns with and support the broader Indigo strategy
  • Create a Tradeshow plan for the rest of 2019 and lead the activities for Indigo to participate at the shows

Qualifications:

 

  • B.S. required, MBA preferred
  • 7+ Years of sales, marketing, and/or product management
  • Demonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in customer-focused problem solving
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering voice-of-the-customer and identifying unmet customer needs
  • Has experience with and/or understands the economics of marketplace business models
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
