Data Analytics Specialist

The role of the Data Analytics Specialist is to work with different internal clients throughout Indigo to create action driven insights visualized on a business intelligence platform.  


  • Love data: you build datasets and reports that provide key insights for key internal functions (supply chain operations, procurement)
  • Focus on scale: you move beyond the day-to-day ask so teams can self-service data and have their reporting automated and flexible
  • Problem solve: translate vague business questions into specific data-driven solutions
  • Knowledge share: you present and mentor others on insights and metric visualization
  • Pulling and reporting on data out of Sales Force and Oracle
  • Weekly commercial team presentation readiness for supply chain requirements

  • Ability to independently drive analysis concluding with rationalized recommendations
  • Understand how to translate a customer's request into a valuable visualization
  • Able to translate excel based visualizations into BI tools with ease
  • Able to translate data requirements to user stories for engineering
  • Strong understanding of competitive BI tool strengths and weaknesses
  • Excellent communicator
    • Able to communicate with engineers
    • Ability to translate technical requirements into business user concepts and vice versa
    • Able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Hands-on, will pick up the phone and make any call to find out information we need
  • Skilled at prioritizing workload and competing priorities
  • Able to set time expectations for work

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to change gears quickly



  • 3+ years in a data-intensive role (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of Tableau, Spotfire or other BI Tool experience 
  • 1-3 years of ERP, Oracle, SAP, Sales Force, ect.
  • Agriculture, logistics or supply side experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Based in Memphis, TN
